A 20-minute glutes, arms, and core workout

Pair this with the June/July strength workout, if you like!

Hey pals,

KNICKS IN FIIIIIIIVE!

I hope you’re feeling even a tiny sliver of the incredible energy we have in NYC this weekend. It’s so beautiful!

To celebrate, here’s a quick but very effective workout that pairs nicely with the June and July strength workout, if you’re doing it. (You could do that one once or twice a week, and this one once or twice a week — or do both in the same session, two or three times a week.)

You can also not do that, and just enjoy this (or any!) WOW as a one-off when you feel like it.

The How to Move workout index

Welcome to the How to Move Workout of the Week index! Your paid subscription grants you access to every single WOW ever published here — but the archive can be a little overwhelming to navigate. If you’re looking for something specific, you’ve come to the right place.

You’ll need a heavy kettlebell or set of medium to heavy dumbbells, a single medium-ish dumbbell, and — if possible — a resistance band anchored to the leg of a sofa, or something else low to the ground and very sturdy. (For filming, I used a very heavy kettlebell on the floor to anchor my band.) (Also, quick disclosure that the links in this paragraph are affiliate links! This is not a huge part of my business — you’ll notice that I have almost never tried to sell you on a product — but every little bit counts; if you’re in need of new exercise equipment, your use of those links would be greatly appreciated! They’re all from my preferred brand, Power Systems, which makes very high quality equipment and doesn’t require engaging with Amazon or Target, etc.)

Let’s go!
